Setup Guide

Due to the special arrangements made to tour the region on a bus, little setup will be required or possible during the July 2007 event.

The event site will be open to exhibitors from Friday at 15:00 and on Saturday from 08:00. Doors will open to the public at 10:00 on Saturday.

Event-themed projector and desktop background images are available here.

Electricity is 220 V, 50 Hz, with Italian (Euro with central ground) and German (Schuko) sockets available.

The event LAN will be equipped with 10/100/1000 Ethernet fully configured via DHCP. For wireless networking, a Bluetooth access point and 802.11g WiFi will also be available. The internet firewall will be open for all standard ports, including streaming protocols. For privacy and security reasons please consider that accesses may be logged, and that the public LAN environment is fairly wide open by definition.

Please let us know if you have special LAN addressing requirements, or if you need specific ports or protocols to be enabled on the firewall.

Operating a webcam is possible (appropriate privacy notices will be affixed), but please let us know ahead of the event so that we can give you ftp access to our server and/or link to your pictures in the webcams page.

Exhibitors are kindly advised to consider carrying enough multiple-outlet power strips and network hubs to cover their needs.
